INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy is counseling with a professional to help an individual accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and or career goals. In some cases it helps to prepare them for couples or family treatment.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE
Employee assistance programs identify and assist employees in resolving personal problems that can nagatively affect a person's workplace performance and/or behavior. People can be referred by their employer or self-referred.
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples therapy helps resolve relationship conflicts, develop strategies to solve problems and make decisions about future plans like getting married, rebuilding a relationship or separating.
EVALUATION
Psychological evaluations are conducted to assess a specific problem to provide information about a specific problem such as disability or making decisions about health/wellness or similar matters.
FAMILY THERAPY
Family therapy helps family members communicate more effectively and to understand understand another family member's difficulties or psychological struggles.
GROUP TREATMENT
Group treatment helps educate or decrease stigma in dealing with difficult-to-talk about issues like trauma. They are very helpful in decreasing guilt, shame and alienation. Dr. Chernyk's groups are usually time-limited, and focus on skill-building.
